Garda Vetting is a legal requirement for all people working with children and vulnerable adults, under
the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012-2016.

Garda vetting is a background check completed by the National Vetting Bureau. The Garda will check to see if the person applying has a criminal record.
The current processing time is 7-10 days after all documents have been received by the Garda National Vetting Bureau.
Select and make your payment.
Then email vetting@trustedcarers.ie and you will be sent a Vetting Invitation Form. You must complete the form and return it to Trusted Carers together with proof of your identity and proof of your address.
Trusted Carers will validate your proof of identity and proof of address and will forward your information to the Garda National Vetting Bureau.
You will then be sent a link to complete the Vetting Application Form online.
The National Vetting Bureau processes the application and sends a vetting disclosure back to Trusted Carers.
Trusted Carers reviews the disclosure and will send you a copy. Assuming you have been successful your Trusted Carers profile will now contain the Garda Vetting badge. You can track your e-Vetting application.
